Text:   Lester, Evelyn Alice (nee: Masek) Departed this life on May 4th, 2005 in Walnut Creek, CA. Evelyn was born on August 14, 1912 to Jerry and Alice Smith Masek in Medicine Lake, Montana. Her brother, Eldridge “Jerry” Masek proceeded her in death on Feb 28, 1967in Las Vegas, Nevada. Evelyn married Robert Howard Youngman in Oakland on October 29, 1939. She worked for most of her life as an Executive Secretary, primarily with Chabot College in Hayward from 1968 until 1983. She married James Burton Lester (who proceeded her in death in 1997) in 1983, and moved to Santa Rosa. Since 1998, she had lived in the Walnut Creek area. Evelyn always had a friendly greeting and a warm smile for everyone she met, and continued to retain a small town charm thoughout her life. She always found the positive in life and had a deep love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all.
