Text: Frank Fabian Karman, age 72, passed away April 1, 1992 into the arms of his long missed family.
He was born February 12, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Mary Zawadski. He was raised in Chicago until he joined the Army, and later moved to Utah. Frank served in the European Theatre, World War II, in the Infantry Division, where he was decorated for his service. He worked at Hudson Manufacturing, and later worked for Green Thumb, and Senior Companions. He has spent many volunteer hours in the service of others, especially at the VA Medical Center. Frank was an avid skin diver and loved going to Alaska to do deep sea fishing with his family. He loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Frank will be greatly missed--he has touched so many lives--for his good works. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Nadyne Gordon Karman; his children, Sharon Forstrom (David); Mary Karman Nilsson (Ray); Steven Beesley; and Don Beesley (Vicki); 11 grandchildren; one sister, Josephine Kanapik

Text: Maria A. Wheeler, age 83, passed away on May 2, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born January 5, 1926 in Manati, Puerto Rico to Rafael and Maria Otilia.
She married Bryon Coulam Wheeler on January 25, 1946 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico.
She was a member of the LDS Church. Maria's greatest love was her husband and her children. Her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ developed through her years of temple service.
She loved her home in San Francisco. Maria was known for her beautiful tri-level flower garden, her crocheted afghans, and her generous spirit in giving all she had to her friends and family.
Maria is survived by a loving family of three children, twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
