Text:   Jerry Heiner, 80, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born March 23, 1927, in Morgan, Utah, to Coulam R. and Eva Bertoch Heiner. He attended Morgan High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He worked for IBM for over 30 years and then had his own electrical business doing work throughout Cache Valley.
Jerry was an avid and excellent trap shooter who loved to participate in competitions. Jerry was a loyal Jazz fan and loved to golf. He loved discussing politics and world situations and was very adamant in his views.
He married Mary Mae Rose in 1944. They had two children and were later divorced. He then married Ann E. Lawson in 1954 and they had three children; they too, were later divorced. He married Janis Gnehm in 1981. They enjoyed traveling and giving a home to abandoned dogs.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Janis, of Smithfield, Utah. He is also survived by four children, Cheryl Heiner-Harris of East Helena, Mont., Alan Heiner of Morgan, Utah, Shellee Brown of Winfield, Kan., and Lesa Dean of Springville, Utah; and his sister, Donna Monson of Ogden, Utah. He had nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
His infectious smile and colorful language will be missed by all who knew and loved him and especially his little chihuahua buddy, Murphy.
