Individual Note:
     Mrs. Jennie Simmons, Hinsdale was the youngest of seven children born to Willis and Hannah Hinsdale, June 6 1846 and departed this life Feb. 23, 1926, aged 80 years. She was united in marriage to Charles Simmons, who preceded her in death nearly 42 years ago. To this union were born 4 children, two of whom died in infancy.

She was a landscape artist and taught painting for a number of years. Her entire life was spent in this community with the exception of a couple of year in Detroit, one year in Kansas and two and a half years in Deerfield. She was a faithful member of the Congregational church. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son Don Simmons of Ypsilanti, Mrs. C. E. Stowell of Deerfield, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at her late home on Tecumseh St. Rev. Humphrey officiating.

Those who attended the funeral from out of town were: Mrs. Hazel Briggs and daughter Betty, Mr. and Mrs. George Hefner and children and George Ayres of Ypsilanti. Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Simmons and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cornish of Ann Arbor. B. O. Bateman of Pittsburgh, Pa. Mrs. Fred Longschied, Mr. and Mrs. Asa Diver, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Stowell of Deerfield,, and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Smith.
